Who builds Bildrix, and why.
Bildrix reads plan sets and turns them into bid-ready quantities, priced estimates, and the documents that follow. It’s built by Umair Ejaz for the small shops where the owner is also the estimator. No sales floor, no theater: this page is the company, stated plainly.
Why this exists.
Manual takeoff is unpaid work. An estimator at a small shop spends evenings counting devices and tracing walls on bids that may never close, and a device missed on sheet 34 becomes work you perform and never bill. The tools built to automate that counting are mostly demo-gated and priced upmarket. A five-person shop can’t even see what they cost without a sales call.
Bildrix is the other answer. Upload a PDF plan set and the AI does the first pass: pages named; rooms, doors, windows, walls, and devices counted; anything uncertain flagged for review. The estimator verifies the flagged items instead of counting from zero, and the same quantities carry through the priced estimate, the signed change order, and the invoice without being retyped.
What it doesn’t do matters as much. Bildrix does takeoff and the documents that follow. Not code review, not CAD. No unreviewed AI number should ever go into a bid, so the product is built to tell you which numbers to doubt. The judgment stays with the person whose name is on the proposal.

AI is the core of the product, and it runs under strict terms: detection runs through enterprise AI APIs under terms that exclude training on your data. Your plans never train AI models.
